Moonee Valley is one of the world's unique racecourses.

It is home to Australia's best race - the Group 1 $3 million Tatts Cox Plate (2040m). The weight-for-age championship has been won by greats of the Australian turf including Sunline, Northerly, Kingston Town, Phar Lap and Makybe Diva.

In 2008 the Mark Kavanagh trained Maldivian, ridden by Michael Rodd,  led all the way and ran his rivals off their feet to win the Tatts Cox Plate.

Due to its small and intimate nature, Moonee Valley offers an unforgettable experience for even the most discerning racegoer.

Moonee Valley races day and night and is a multi-purpose function venue that hosts a range of raceday and non-raceday events throughout the year.

Change to MVRC Members' Dress Regulations for Night Racing

Gentlemen (including children 15 & over) – are required to wear a collared shirt with tailored trousers. No tie is required and jackets are optional. Please note, strictly no denim allowed. Ladies are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the standard of the Members’ Enclosure. Please note: at no time, for any meeting, are the following items of clothing or similar permitted in Members’ areas: T-Shirts, denim/denim look, tracksuits, shorts, runners and thongs.
